Bikaner : Bikaner The engine of the train going from Gandhi Nagar in Gujarat to Jammu Tawi in Jammu broke down at Marwar Chhapri near Nagaur last night. In such a situation, the train stood at the railway station of this village for about one and a half hours, later after making alternative arrangements, the train was sent ahead. There were a large number of students in this train, who were coming to Bikaner to give exams.
This train had left Jodhpur about fifteen minutes behind schedule. It was moving smoothly on the way, meanwhile the train suddenly stopped at Marwar Chapri station located between Merta and Nagaur. Initially, the passengers thought of stopping to give way to a train, but when the train did not run for about half an hour, a large number of people reached near the engine, where it was found that there was a fault in the electric engine. Railway personnel tried hard to start the engine but did not succeed. In such a situation, it was taken back by the second engine installed behind the train. The track was changed and sent back ahead.
The railway workers who arrived from Merta sent it off after a delay of about one and a half hour, but by the time it reached Bikaner, it was delayed by more than an hour. Its arrival time in Bikaner is 12.50 but this train reached at 2 in the night. There were a large number of students in this train, who were coming to Bikaner from Merta and Nagaur to appear for the exam. Students were worried that if they did not leave further, they would miss the exam in the morning. It was fortunate that the Railways did not allow much delay by making alternative arrangements.
