Electricity crisis deepens once again in Rajasthan, know what is the big reason

Jhalawar : The problems of Jhalawar’s Kalisindh Thermal Power Project are not reducing. The frequent tripping and technical faults in both the units have become a headache. In such a situation, not a single month is passing when both the thermal units are running at their full capacity. Also, due to the cost of repairing the technical flaws, the project is also continuously going into losses. The first unit of Jhalawar Kalisindh Thermal Power Plant has once again been shut down due to tube leakage, while the second unit is also not able to produce full power. In such a situation, only formality is being done in the name of power generation here. According to information received from sources, suddenly the tube of the first unit got leaked. Due to this the unit was completely shut down. Only 400 to 450 MW of power is being produced from the second unit.

Electricity production of 600-600 MW per hour

Kalisindh Thermal Power Plant has two units of 600 MW each. These units produce 600 MW of electricity per hour. In such a situation, due to tube leakage, the production of 600 MW electricity has completely stopped. Due to heat and humidity, the demand for electricity is also increasing continuously. At such a time, the thermal unit has been shut down. Even before this, the frequent shutdown of both the thermal units has had a great impact on power generation and for a long time, both the units have not been able to produce electricity at full capacity.

Production is not happening continuously for even one month

Due to continuous technical faults and tripping in the units of Kali Sindh Thermal Power Project, there has been no electricity generation for even one month in the last one year. Both the units of the thermal plant are continuously having faults and the units are shutting down every month. Earlier in the month of May also the units were shut down five times. In the beginning of June also the units were shut down.

Waiting for the boiler to cool down

The project’s chief engineer KL Meena said that the unit has shut down due to leakage in the tube and it takes 3 days for the boiler to cool down and one cannot enter the boiler before it cools down. In such a situation, the work of repairing the leakage of the tube or replacing it as per the need can be done only after the boiler cools down.
