Dausa : Under the banner of Rajasthan Vidyut Sanyukta Sangharsh Samiti, on Monday, employees demonstrated at Ramgarh Pachwara block headquarters against the privatization of the electricity corporation and their 6-point demands. While taking out a rally during the demonstration, the employees submitted a memorandum to the Sub-Divisional Officer and Tehsildar.
These are the main demands
– Electricity corporation should not be run through contractual system and private model.
– The old pension scheme for employees should be re-implemented.
– HEM model and MBC model should be canceled immediately.
– GPF scheme should be implemented by stopping deductions in the CPF accounts of employees.
There is a possibility of increase in electricity rates due to privatization, which will put financial burden on the general public.
The dharna was organized at Ramgarh Pachwara Assistant Engineer office. The protesting employees called privatization an anti-people and anti-employee step. During this, a memorandum was submitted in the name of Additional Chief Secretary and Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma.
On this occasion, District President Suraj Meena said that contracting system and privatization will not only make the future of the employees insecure but will also harm the general public. He demanded implementation of OPS, saying it is an essential social security mechanism for employees.
