Kota News Desk: The agitation of electricity employees is continuing against the JV (Joint Venture) of the power plants of Kota state. In Kota, under the banner of Sangharsh Samiti, thermal employees started an indefinite strike outside the thermal gate from today. Employees say that by giving power plants to private sectors, it seems that the general public will not get any facilities. On the contrary, electricity will be expensive.
Sangharsh Committee co-coordinators Ram Singh Shekhawat and Lalit Kumawat said that we have been protesting in a Gandhian way for 50 days. But the government did not pay attention to our demands. We were forced to sit on strike in all the power plants. We talked to the thermal administration and the corporation administration. We also talked to the government and opposition leaders. But till now no one has come forward. Nor was the decision regarding employees clear. Our demand is that the government should not give those plants which are running in joint venture. The new plants that will be established in future. Get companies to invest in them and privatize them. Do not include running plant in joint venture. Till the demands are not accepted, 5 employees will sit on strike every day.
