Bikaner : Bikaner On Wednesday, on the statewide call of Rajasthan Vidyut Sanyukta Sangharsh Samiti, electricity employees and engineers in Nokha registered a protest by wearing black bands against privatization and demanding implementation of OPS. State spokesperson of Rajasthan Vidyut Shramik Mahasangh, Chunnilal Rajasthani, said that all the electricity employees and engineers across the state worked today by wearing black bands, so that a message could be given to the government that they are united against privatization in the electricity department. He alleged that the government is privatizing the electricity department under various schemes, which is not in the interest of the employees.

Electricity workers made these demands

– Privatization should be stopped in the electricity department.

– OPS (Old Pension Scheme) should be implemented for electricity employees.

– CPF deduction should be stopped and GPF deduction should be started.

On these issues, a huge protest will be organized at the Discom headquarters on 16th December and at the state headquarters on 23rd December. The employees have warned that if their demands are not met, their struggle may become more intense.
