Encounter between police and cow smuggler in Bharatpur, 5 fled after seeing the opportunity, 1 accused injured while climbing the wall

Bharatpur News Desk: An encounter took place between cow smugglers and police personnel in Bharatpur district. An encounter took place between QRT-5 and a cow smuggler in village Raunija located in Nadbai police station area. In this encounter, bullets were fired from both sides. During the encounter, 5 cow smugglers managed to escape, while 1 smuggler was caught by the police along with his weapon. Police freed half a dozen cows and recovered a pickup vehicle. The caught cow smuggler was injured while jumping over the wall while escaping. In-charge Surgyan Singh Meena said that information was received from the informer that late night the cattle were being loaded in a pickup by cow smugglers near the cremation ground of village Raunija located in Nadbai police station area. When the police team reached the spot, the smugglers started firing. Retaliating, the police fired one round. Taking advantage of the darkness, 5 cow smugglers managed to escape.

Injured accused referred to district hospital, treatment is ongoing

Whereas a cow smuggler got injured while climbing the wall and hid in the forest. After two hours of hard work, the police conducted a search operation and arrested the injured cow smuggler along with an illegal weapon. The injured smuggler was admitted to the nearby Nadbai Hospital, from where he was referred to the district RBM Hospital. At present the treatment of the accused is going on.

Continuous action is going on against cow smugglers

Giving information about the case, District Superintendent of Police Mridul Kachhawa said that QRT-5 was formed to stop the incidents of cow smuggling. This team is continuously taking action against cow smugglers in the district. QRT-5 team includes policemen Sadhuram, Abhishek, Damodar and Deepu along with in-charge Surgyan Singh Meena.
