Karauli : Some people have encroached on the place of cremation of dead bodies in village Baoli of Karauli Mamchari police station area. Due to which there is difficulty in cremating dead bodies. When a family member died in the village on Monday, when he brought his body for the last rites, the encroachers pelted stones at them. Cremation was not allowed there. After receiving the information, the police administration team reached the spot. Girdawar Sattar Khan, Patwari Sanjay Sharma of Maholi Panchayat, Patwari Sagar Gaud of Gram Panchayat Karsai, Maholi Sarpanch Ranglal Kol, Karsai Sarpanch representative Kunjilal Meena reached the spot. After which the dead body could be cremated. There is anger among the villagers due to encroachment on the land. Villagers Sohanlal Mali, Prahlad Mali, Kalyan Member, Manoj Mali, Bahadur Mali, Mukesh Mali protested and said that due to encroachment on the land, cremation of the dead bodies is not possible.
The villagers told that 10 months ago they had put forward a proposal in the Gram Sabha demanding allotment of Sivayachak land for cremation ground. After this, they lobbied for land allotment in the Gram Panchayat but the land has not been allotted. Whereas this land has been encroached upon by encroachers. Information was received from the villagers. On which the police reached the spot. After which the trespassers ran away. After this the Revenue Department team also reached the spot. The body was cremated peacefully in the presence of the police. At present no case has been registered.
