…then Rajasthan employees will take to the streets in 24 hours
State General Secretary of Rajasthan Teacher Employees Joint Federation, Mahavir Siag said that the battle of OPS will be fought jointly and if the Bhajanlal government tampers with it, then the employees of Rajasthan will take to the streets within 24 hours. The memorandum to keep OPS unchanged was given to the Chief Minister’s Special Officer at CMO House.
Why did the government employees mobilize?
After a long struggle in Rajasthan, the previous Congress government abolished NPS and reinstated OPS from April 1, 2022 for the employees appointed after 2004. Now the government employees of the state are demanding to maintain OPS as it is. Also, the employees are demanding that Rs 51 thousand crore should be received from the Central Government and deposited in the GPF account.
