Jhunjhunu : BJP is leading on many seats in Rajasthan by-elections. Meanwhile, the echo of drums has started being heard in Jhunjhunu. Till now BJP has got total 61 thousand 145 votes, Congress 30 thousand 300 votes and Rajendra Gudha 29991 votes. While the counting of votes was going on, party workers started celebrating and also burst fireworks. After getting information about BJP’s lead, party members are dancing and feeding each other sweets. Rajendra Gudha had the lead in some rounds in the morning. But once again there was an upset in the 15th round. Congress candidate has reached second place.
Shock for MP Brijendra Ola too
From the Congress point of view, there has been a lot of discussion about this seat in this by-election. Jhunjhunu seat was also a matter of prestige for the Ola family. Because from here Shishram Ola was elected MLA thrice and his son Brijendra Ola was elected MLA four times consecutively. This seat became vacant after Brijendra Ola became Lok Sabha MP and now this time his son Amit Ola is trying his luck from Jhunjhunu.
Congress stalwarts kept distance from campaigning
The biggest thing seen in this by-election was that no big leader from Congress campaigned on Jhunjhunu seat. Leaders like Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot are busy in Maharashtra elections, but despite this Sachin Pilot campaigned on Dausa and Uniara seats. Amit Ola is considered close to Sachin Pilot, yet Pilot was not seen campaigning in Jhunjhunu. Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasara also did not come to Jhunjhunu, whereas he has campaigned vigorously on other seats in the by-elections of Rajasthan.
