The Dhaka family had bought a one-month-old puppy in 2014
Arvind Dhaka told that in the year 2014 when Meeku was one month old, I bought her from Hisar. Gradually she became a part of our family. About one and a half years ago she fell ill after which she was taken to Hisar Veterinary College in Hisar. Where the veterinarian told that Meeku has a disease called Congestive Heart Failure. Due to which she would start panting after walking about a hundred meters.
One and a half lakh rupees were spent on Meeku’s treatment in one and a half years
Arvind further said that after a lot of tests, medicines were administered. But then the doctor told that the lifespan of a dog is only about 14 to 15 years. Whereas Meeku’s age also has an impact. He told that when he took Meeku to Hisar for the first time, around 40 thousand rupees were spent. After this, whenever he went to Hisar, the money was spent only for personal vehicle and two types of tablets. In total, around one and a half lakh rupees were spent on his treatment in one and a half years. But we could not save Meeku.
Meeku used to eat food from my hands at night: Arvind
Arvind further said that even though he is not among us today, his memories will remain with us forever. Arvind Dhaka said that Meeku used to eat food from the hands of family members during the day. But at night he used to eat food only from my hands. Some days I used to go to another place for work. That day Meeku did not eat food at night. Then whenever I reached home, I used to feed Meeku before myself. Arvind Dhaka himself runs a medical store in Naya Bass, Churu. He said that whenever he used to go home in the evening, he used to wait for me at Meeku’s door. He used to open the main gate of the house from there only. Today I am missing Meeku a lot. Every moment spent with him is flashing before my eyes. His absence will never be filled in this life.
Why did the Dhaka family respect Meeku so much?
An interesting story has come to light as to why the Dhaka family loved their pet dog Meeku so much. Arvind told that it was one night in 2018. When the people of the house were sleeping in the room, a black cobra snake entered the house. It came to my room. Then Meeku came near my bed and started barking loudly. Due to which I woke up and then we became alert after seeing the snake. He further said that if Meeku was not with us that night, the snake could have bitten many people of the family sleeping in the room. After this incident, the attachment of the family members to Meeku increased further.
