Mumbai, November 22 (IANS). Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena leader Krishna Hegde said on Friday that all the leaders would like that Eknath Shinde should sit on the CM’s chair again, because good work has been done in the state under his leadership.
Krishna Hegde said, “All the leaders and workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party have full faith that the BJP will have a Chief Minister in Maharashtra. Similarly, all the leaders and workers of Shiv Sena believe that the next Chief Minister will be Eknath Shinde, because this election was fought under the leadership of Eknath Shinde. In the last two and a half years, Eknath Shinde worked with full responsibility and he took everyone along and did many good works for the people of Maharashtra.
He said, “However, after the election results are out, the central leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party and their Parliamentary Board members will decide who will be the next Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Being a Shiv Sainik, I have full faith that the next Chief Minister will be Eknath Shinde. But whatever decision will be taken, I am confident that that decision will be right and in the interest of the people of Maharashtra. Whatever schemes have been given by our party, all of them will be implemented. We will bring more schemes for the people of Maharashtra.”
It is noteworthy that on November 20, voting was held for 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra. This voting was held in a single phase. The main contest in Maharashtra politics is believed to be between Maha Vikas Aghadi and Mahayuti. Who the people of the state choose will become clear only after the counting of votes on Saturday.
