Mumbai, December 1 (IANS). Bharatiya Janata Party leader Shrikant Bharatiya spoke to IANS on Sunday on the announcement of the name of the Chief Minister in Maharashtra, statements of Nationalist Congress Party (Sharat Chandra Pawar) leader Sharad Pawar and Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) leaders.
On the question of the Chief Minister, BJP leader Shrikant Bharatiya said, “The Chief Minister of the state will be from ‘Mahayuti’ and our wish is that it should be a Bharatiya Janata Party worker.”
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aditya Thackeray said that the date of the swearing-in ceremony is announced by the Governor, so why was it announced by the BJP? Regarding this, the BJP leader said, “I laugh at his childishness.” When his father became the CM, the news had come in the media even before the Governor. A political party makes its preparations.
The acting Chief Minister of the state, Eknath Shinde suddenly goes to his village, is everything fine in Mahayuti. Regarding this, the BJP leader said, “He visits his village very often.” In such a situation, what is wrong in going to your village?
On the question of formula in the possible cabinet, the BJP leader said, “There is only one formula that a Mahayuti government is coming in Maharashtra and we are going to serve the people for five years.”
On Sharad Pawar’s question raised on EVMs, the BJP leader said, “In Maharashtra politics, if Uddhav Thackeray, Sanjay Raut and Nana Patole say that EVMs are wrong, then it does not make any sense.” But it is surprising that senior leaders like Sharad Pawar blame their defeat on EVMs.
Let us tell you that voting for Maharashtra Assembly elections ended on 20th November. The results were revealed on 23 November, in which the ruling ‘Mahayuti’ won more than 230 seats. The name of the Chief Minister has not been announced yet in the state. However, the date of the Chief Minister’s swearing-in ceremony has been fixed. The swearing-in ceremony will take place in the state on December 5.
