Jaipur : While the correct and limited use of mobile and internet is beneficial, its excess is creating many kinds of problems in life. In Rajasthan, 4 out of 10 youths and children in Jaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Ajmer, Sikar, Kota and other big cities are becoming forgetful due to mobile addiction. A study conducted by Jodhpur’s SN Medical College has revealed that mobile addiction was found to be 51 percent among students studying in schools and colleges. Using mobile and internet for hours is affecting the brains of children and youth. A study published in the Alzheimer’s Research Journal claims that cell phone radiation increases the level of calcium in brain cells, which is the main factor in Alzheimer’s disease.
Mobile is affecting the neuron system
According to a study by London University, internet exposure has a bad effect on the neuron system of the brain. This is causing negative changes in the nature of children and youth. Cases of overthinking and low concentration are increasing day by day. Excessive use of mobile and internet affects the neuron system of the brain.
Mobile has taken away peace, tension is increasing
According to doctors, every year about 50 thousand youth in India are becoming victims of mobile addiction and digital dementia. 20 percent of the total patients suffering from mobile addiction and digital dementia are teenagers and children. It affects all the systems of the body, from hunger to sleep. Digital dementia means weakening of memory.
The pattern of dementia is changing
According to doctors, earlier symptoms of dementia were seen in the elderly after the age of 60, but due to excessive use of mobile and gadgets, symptoms of dementia are being seen in children and youth. According to psychiatrists, watching social media and web series for several hours every day is causing cognitive impairment. This is causing problems like memory loss i.e. digital dementia. If treatment is not taken in time, this disease can be fatal.
