Expired food items destroyed in Banswara Chhoti Sarwan

Banswara : Food Safety Team of Medical Department took action on Monday. There was panic in the market after the news of the action. Following the instructions of District Collector Dr. Inderjit Yadav, the local team is continuously taking action. Under the leadership of Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. HL Tabiyar, Food Safety Officer Shashikant Sharma and Ummedal Taylor took action to destroy expired items in Chhoti Sarwan. Also took seven samples.

CMHO Dr. Tabiyar said that under the ‘War on Food Adulteration’ campaign, 25 kg ghee, 20 kg semolina, 21 kg gram flour, 20 kg poha, 2 kg toast, 12 liters mustard oil were destroyed from Mahesh Kumar Motilal’s house in Awadhipar. Samples were taken from Vanaspati Ghee from Arpit Traders, Iodine Salt and Vanaspati from Kamlesh Kumar, Ghee from M/s Sharda Traders Danpur and Mahan Ghee from Siyaram Traders Danpur. Similarly, two samples of ghee were also taken from Sambhav traders.
