‘Eyes gone and Rs 6 lakh crossed’ Thief ran away with a bag full of Rs 6 lakh in broad daylight in Dholpur, horrifying incident seen in CCTV

Dholpur News Desk: On Sunday evening, there was a commotion in front of Agarwal Dharamshala located in Bari city. When a boy picked up a bag containing six and a half lakh rupees kept in the footrest of the scooter of a fertilizer and seed seller and ran away in a moment. The incident created panic in the market. The incident has been captured in CCTV. Police is searching for the accused.

The incident happened while closing the shop

Fertilizer seed seller Ramesh Chandra Goyal said that on Sunday evening he closed his shop and was going home with a bag containing about Rs 6.50. After closing the shop, a bag full of money was kept in the footboard of the scooter. The shopkeeper’s back was turned for a while. Meanwhile, a boy already sitting in ambush pounced on the bag and ran into the market. The incident created panic in the market.

Police set up a blockade

The shopkeepers also searched nearby for the boy but could not locate him. Information about the matter has been given to the local Kotwali police station. The police reached the spot and set up a blockade after seeing the CCTV footage, but could not find any trace of the accused boy. Shopkeeper Ramesh Chandra has given a report to the police against the unknown youth.

Traders raised questions on police patrolling

Police station in-charge Shiv Lahari Meena said that a case has been registered. The boy is being identified through CCTV footage. He told that the accused will be identified soon. We will arrest the accused and take legal action in the matter. On the other hand, anger is being seen among the traders of Bari city due to the incident. Trade Association President Mannalal said that such incidents have been happening in the market in the past also. He said that the incident raises question marks on the police patrolling system. The trade union is demanding the arrest of the accused youth.
