Mumbai, 11 December (IANS). NCP (SP) leader Fahad Ahmed’s statement has come to light on the ongoing protests in Parbhani, Maharashtra regarding insult to the Constitution.
Fahad Ahmed said, “The insult to the Constitution of India and Baba Saheb Ambedkar ji in Parbhani, Maharashtra and the subsequent incidents of violence and arson during the bandh call are a matter of great concern.”
He said, “Today there is a fight going on in the Mahayuti government regarding the Home Ministry and meanwhile the law and order of the state is at stake. I want to request with folded hands that whoever is to be made a minister, the Maharashtra government should complete this work soon, and such incidents should be controlled soon.
”I would especially request the people of Parbhani that Baba Saheb Ambedkar and the Constitution are the life of this country, the soul of this country. Whatever such incidents and arson are taking place, nothing will happen except loss. The poor will not achieve anything except loss in business. There is a request to the half-hearted government of three people in Maharashtra that action should be taken against the incident that happened in Parbhani as soon as possible.
He said, “This is not just a mandate, it is also a responsibility and to fulfill this responsibility, as an opposition, we are all ready to support, and support will come from all the leaders, whether it is Supriya Be it Sule ji or Sharad Pawar Saheb. My only request is that a government should be formed as soon as possible and such incidents can be controlled.
