Sriganganagar : In border village 24 O Bhuttiwala, a farmer died due to electrocution while plucking gooseberries from a tree in a field on Wednesday evening. The family brought the farmer who was electrocuted to the government hospital where the doctors declared him dead. The brother of the deceased has lodged a case report in the police station.
Keval Singh, son of Jagroop Singh, resident of village 24O Bhuttiwala told that on Wednesday his elder brother Mangal Singh had gone to work in the fields. When he started plucking gooseberries from the gooseberry plant in his field with an iron pipe, the pipe touched the 11 thousand voltage electric wires passing over the tree. Due to which his brother Mangal Singh got electrocuted.
