Farmers of Himachal got benefit from ‘Kisan Samman Nidhi’, expressed gratitude to PM Modi

Mandi, December 5 (IANS). Many types of welfare schemes are being run by the Narendra Modi government at the Center for the common people. Prime Minister Samman Nidhi Yojana is one of these. The beneficiary farmers of Mandi and Kullu districts of Himachal Pradesh got the benefit of this scheme, for which they expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi while talking to IANS on Thursday.

Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi is not a boon for farmers. Earlier, small farmers had to take loans for farming. But now, agricultural work is becoming easier with farmers getting Rs 2,000 per month three times a year during farming. This scheme was started in 2018 at the time of Rabi season.

There is an atmosphere of happiness among the farmers of Mandi and Kullu districts of Himachal Pradesh after getting the Samman Nidhi under the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Receiving this Samman Nidhi has brought glow back into his face. On the other hand, the inclination of youth towards agriculture has also increased significantly.

Beneficiary farmer Chaman Lal said, many types of schemes are being run by the Government of India, but Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme is very good in this. PM Modi’s scheme is leading to economic and social upliftment of our farmers. We thank him for this. Earlier, when this scheme was not available, the farmer remained broke and had to depend on the bank or any other institution for farming. Farmers had to depend on others to buy seeds for a good harvest.

Young farmer beneficiary Dharamchandra, resident of Kullu, said that the elders of his family have already been doing gardening and farming work. Earlier people used to face a lot of problems. Loan had to be taken for medicines and seeds. But, now we are benefiting a lot from the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Now our financial condition has become stronger and we are interested in farming. There is an appeal to the government to give four installments of this scheme instead of three.

Scientist Dr. Pankaj Sood said, through the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi, installments of money have been continuously coming into people’s accounts for the last three years. Even though the amount is less, it is helpful for the farmers. Many times farmers do not have money for seeds and medicines. This helps them. This credit is being given regularly thrice a year. Farmers get a lot of support.
