Farmers’ protest is not appropriate, it is necessary to take permission: Anil Vij

Chandigarh, December 6 (IANS). Haryana Government Cabinet Minister Anil Vij reacted to the farmers’ march to Delhi on Friday. He told the farmers not to be aggressive in this way, because their issue is still pending in the Supreme Court. Farmers are not allowed to protest in Delhi, it is necessary to take permission for any type of program or demonstration.

While talking to IANS, Anil Vij said that farmers are not allowed to go and sit in Delhi. If any program has to be organised, permission has to be taken for it. If we hold a protest in our own city, we also have to take permission. Farmer leaders should have taken permission and planned to protest, only then their views could have been considered.

He said that unless the farmers have permission to protest, how can they be allowed to go?

He further said that talks are being held on the demands of farmer leaders. Whatever order comes from the Supreme Court in this matter, it will be implemented. He also said that the Punjab government should talk to the farmers. The state government should talk to the farmers where they are sitting on strike. Punjab government should come forward and talk to farmer leaders on this issue.

Let us tell you that farmers from Punjab-Haryana (Shambhu) border are once again trying to move towards Delhi. In this movement, the farmers who have been protesting at the Shambhu border for more than 8 months since 13 February are now trying to move towards Delhi on foot without tractor-trolley.
