Farmers troubled by unannounced power cuts in Barmer rural areas

Barmer : Shiv MLA Ravindra Singh Bhati, after visiting all the GSS of the area for 3 consecutive days and holding public hearing, reached the Discom Chief Engineer’s office at the district headquarters at 4 pm on Wednesday evening. MLA Bhati presented the electricity related problems of rural areas point by point before Chief Engineer Ashok Goyal. Bhati said that he would return only after getting written assurance of resolution of the problems, otherwise he would spend the night in the office. He said that corruption is being done openly by the officials in the assembly constituency. I have screen shots of the phones of these officers. Who has asked for money from whom? I will tell you each point of this, after which you tell me the solution in writing. He said that even after the limit fixed by the government, electricity is not being available in rural areas. The villagers are very sad due to this.

MLA Bhati told Chief Engineer Goyal that the farmers of the area are troubled by the electricity problem. If a transformer burns in a field, there is no electricity for 15-20 days. There is no electricity in villages from 6 pm to 10 pm. In such a situation they are unable to cook food. There is power cut from 7 am to 10 am. Discom officials are not monitoring the area properly. In case of fault, repairmen do not go to the fields, so farmers have to climb the poles themselves. He told that in the last 3 days, people of the places he visited were facing problems of electricity. Even today, due to lack of electricity, people have to grind flour with diesel mill. Due to lack of electricity at the time of examinations, the education of school children is being affected. No work has been done on any scheme in the area.
