The island is inside the lake

On the second island is the world famous Udaipur Solar Observatory which keeps an eye on the activities happening on the sun. On its third island is a huge water jet fountain which attracts tourists. Fatehsagar lake was built by Maharana Jagat Singh
Fatehsagar lake was built by Maharana Jagat Singh. Later Maharana Fateh Singh got it reconstructed. This lake was named after him. Its construction was completed in 1687. The water of this lake was used for agriculture and drinking facilities in Udaipur and nearby areas. This lake is 18 feet deep. The lake is connected to 3 islands. A centuries old temple is also built here.
