Pratapgarh : Pratapgarh An exercise has been started by the government to increase the interest of the general public towards the scheme of installing solar power plants on the rooftops of the houses. Under this, consumers who have solar power plants installed at their homes. Solar cooker will be provided to the female member of the family of such consumers. Will be distributed by Rajasthan Renewal Energy Corporation Limited (R&ACC). Which will be provided in the program organized on the completion of one year of the government on 14th December. Under this, this cooker will be provided to 126 women in Pratapgarh district. For this, preparations have been started by the Electricity Distribution Corporation.

Under PM Suryaghar Mut Bijli Yojana, a woman from the beneficiary family will be provided a solar cooker at free of cost. In which solar plate will be installed on the roof. A battery will also be provided for use at night. Once a solar stove is installed, it lasts for a long time. It is a pollution free cooking technique. Due to which the cost of gas cylinder and wood will reduce. The solar plate is charged by sunlight during the day. With the help of battery it can be used even at night.
250 applications
Till now, around two hundred applications have been received in the district under the scheme. Of these, solar power plants have been installed on 126 houses. Who are taking advantage of the scheme. While the process is going on for other consumers. In which 76 consumers have been benefited against 187 applications in Pratapgarh City Assistant Engineer Office. Whereas the least number of applications have been received in Dalot, only 30. The plant has been installed in only one house here. In such a situation, 76 applications have been received under Chhotisadri Rural Assistant Engineer Office. But the plant has been installed in only one house.
