Festive atmosphere in Janakpur regarding the marriage of Lord Ram, special arrangements made: Satish Kumar Singh

Janakpur (Nepal), December 3 (IANS). For the first time after the consecration of Lord Ramlala in Ayodhya, the procession of Lord Shri Ram is coming to Janakpur in Nepal.

Grand preparations are being made in Janakpur to welcome the wedding procession. It is being decorated like a bride. A specially grand pandal is being prepared. The whole of Janakpur is excited to welcome the procession of Lord Ram.

Regarding this historic event, Chief Minister of Madhesh Pradesh of Janakpur region of Nepal, Satish Kumar Singh said that many devotees from India and Nepal are going to come during this period. In such a situation, all arrangements are being made. Arrangements are being made for accommodation and food for the devotees. We welcome the devotees who are coming to take part in the auspicious marriage ceremony of Maa Janaki. Everyone here is excited. The feeling of this moment is special for us.

Let us tell you that preparations for Sita-Ram Mahotsav have intensified here. It is also called Vivah Panchami here. Vivah Panchami is on 6th December. It is believed that the marriage of Lord Shri Ram and Mother Sita took place on this day. Every year the marriage of Sita and Ram is organized on this day. This day holds great importance for Hindus as well as for the people of Mithila region living in Janakpur, Nepal.

After the consecration of life in the Ram temple of Ayodhya, such a grand celebration of the marriage of Lord Ram and Mother Sita is being celebrated for the first time. Forty Vedic Brahmins from Tirupati will conduct the marriage of Sita and Ram in Janakpur Dham. These Vedic Brahmins will directly reach Janakpur to perform the marriage rituals. From Ayodhya to Janakpur, the wedding preparations are so magical that they bring back memories of the Ram Baraat of Treta Yuga.

Lord Ram’s marriage procession has left with great pomp from Ayodhya to Janakpur to marry Mother Sita. There are more than 500 people in this procession. The procession was scheduled to enter Nepal on December 2 via Ayodhya via Azamgarh, Buxar, Patna, Kanti of Muzaffarpur, Sitamarhi, Benipatti, Madhwapur. From here, Ramlala’s procession will reach Janakpur Dham on 3rd December and the procession will stay here till 7th December. After this the wedding procession will return to Ayodhya on 8th December.
