Fine of Rs 9.75 lakh imposed in Dausa check bounce case

Dausa : Special Judicial Magistrate Magistrate Rachna Balot, the presiding officer of the NI Act case, has imposed a fine of Rs 9 lakh 75 thousand on the person found guilty in the check dishonor case. Sentenced to one year imprisonment. The matter is 9 years old. Complainant Ranvijay Singh Rathore is a resident of Kableshwar. Pawan Sharma, resident of Sodala, Jaipur, had borrowed Rs 6 lakh 50 thousand from him. To repay the loan, Pawan Sharma gave a check dated 4 October 2015 to Ranvijay Singh Rathod, which was drawn from Indusund Bank branch, Church Road, Jaipur.

When complainant Rathore applied for payment in the bank, on 6th October the bank returned it saying that there was not sufficient amount in Pawan Sharma’s account. After this the complainant sent a notice to Pawan Sharma, but did not return the borrowed amount. Ranvijay Singh Rathore filed a complaint against Pawan Sharma in the court. In the hearing, in view of the documents and arguments presented by advocate Sandeep Chauhan, appearing on behalf of the complainant, Pawan Sharma was held guilty of check dishonor in the case of not returning the borrowed amount.
