Alwar : A fire broke out in the plastic pipe manufacturing factory plant located in Rico Industries Area Phase 2, Alwar Behror today at 4.45 pm. It has been about two hours since the fire started but it has not been controlled. The pipe making material inside the factory has been burnt and destroyed, due to which a loss of around Rs 8 to 10 crore is estimated. The flats of Green Lam Company located next to the factory have been evacuated. People have come out of the flat. The flames and smoke rising from the factory are visible from a distance. Apart from Behror, efforts are being made to extinguish the fire with vehicles of about 6 fire brigades called from Neemrana, Keshwana and Sotanala. It is not known what caused the fire.
All the goods kept inside the factory were burnt
HDPE i.e. black colored plastic pipe is made in the factory. The company’s commercial manager Ramesh Nair said – the entire plant has been destroyed by fire. Machinery, plants, bundles of finished goods, raw materials and other items kept inside the plant have been burnt. This has caused a loss of around Rs 8 to 10 crore. Manager Ramesh Nayyar said – There were around 15 to 20 workers inside the company at the time of the fire. The fire inside the factory started from the stock yard. During this time the employees present inside started trying to control the fire. But when the fire increased due to strong wind, everyone ran outside to save their lives.
The flat located near the factory was evacuated
There are also flats of Green Lam Company adjacent to the factory wall. About 40 flats have been evacuated. The people living in the flat became scared after the fire. Flames and smoke are visible rising from the factory. The safety staff of the society are also trying to control the fire by pouring water.
12 fire brigades started extinguishing the fire
To extinguish the fire, fire brigade vehicles from Kotputli, Behror, Keshwana, Neemrana, Japanese Zone and Ghiloth have reached the spot. The fire is burning due to plastic and strong wind. Fire engines are being filled with green flame plant. Along with water, fire foam is also being poured on the fire.
