Kolhapur, 24 November (IANS). An accident took place during the reception of newly elected independent MLA Shivaji Patil at Mahagaon in Chandgarh taluk in the western region of Maharashtra.
Actually, gulal was being thrown to welcome the MLA and during this time a fire broke out. This incident happened when the women were performing the Aarti of the MLA and at the same time gulal was being dropped from the JCB.
A video related to this incident has also surfaced. It can be seen in the video that when the Aarti of MLA Shivaji Patil was being performed, Gulal was sprayed in the air from a JCB machine. But suddenly, due to the contact of gulal and fire, a fire broke out, causing chaos in the surroundings. Some women and MLA Shivaji Patil were injured in the fire. However, it is a matter of relief that the injured did not suffer serious injuries.
Let us tell you that the results of Maharashtra Assembly elections have been declared on Saturday. In which Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has got majority. Whereas, independent candidate Shivaji Patil has won from Chandgarh seat of the state. Shivaji Patil defeated his rival Rajesh Patil of NCP by 24,134 votes. After this victory, he was being welcomed with much fanfare, during which this accident happened.
Voting was held in a single phase on November 20 for 288 assembly seats in the state. Counting of votes took place on 23 November. Mahayuti got a bumper victory in this assembly elections. Whereas Maha Aghadi got defeated. Mahayuti got a total of 236 seats, Maha Aghadi got 48 while others had to be satisfied with only 4.
