Pratapgarh : Due to unknown reasons, a small house suddenly caught fire in Bev village of Ghantali police station area. All the goods kept in the house including cash were burnt to ashes in the fire. On receiving information, fire brigade from the Municipal Council reached the spot and with the help of villagers brought the fire under control. The incident occurred at 6.30 pm on Thursday.
Ghanthali police station officer Sohanlal said that a sudden fire broke out in the house of Dhanji father Dola Maida, resident of Bev village. After which the people nearby informed the fire brigade about the fire. On receiving the information, the fire brigade reached the spot and controlled the fire. But by then the food grains, clothes and jewelery kept in the house were burnt to ashes. At the time of the fire, there were small children in the house and family members were working in the fields nearby. The victim’s family suffered a loss of approximately Rs 10 lakh due to the fire. Police officer Sohanlal and Sarpanch Pati Deepak, who reached the spot, immediately provided financial help to the victim and appealed to the villagers to also help the victim.
