Bikaner : A fire broke out in the staff quarter area of a hotel located in Rathkhana area of Bikaner. No one got injured in the fire but a lot of goods were burnt to ashes. After the incident, three fire brigades reached the spot and brought the fire under control. At present the fire has subsided and the work of taking out the remaining items is going on.
Fire broke out in staff quarters
A fire broke out in the staff quarters of Hotel Rajvilas located in Rathkhana area of Sadar police station area on Tuesday morning. The fire caused panic inside and outside the hotel. A major accident was averted due to the timely response of fire brigade personnel and police. As soon as information about the fire was received, the fire department and Sadar police station reached the spot and brought the fire under control.
The cause of the fire is said to be short circuit. There is no news of any casualty in the incident, but the goods kept in the quarter were burnt to ashes. The hotel staff was not present in the room at the time of the incident otherwise there could have been a huge loss of life. One after the other, three fire brigades reached the spot and brought the fire under control. Many families live in the staff quarters built behind the hotel. The fire became apparent as soon as the smoke rose. In such a situation, the people living there were immediately evacuated. Due to the fire, the items kept in the rooms were burnt to ashes. Some double beds, cupboards and some wooden items were also burnt to ashes.
