Barmer : Sindhari Road, the busiest area of Barmer city, echoed with the sound of bullets in broad daylight. When suddenly after a dispute over the side of the road, the young man opened fire on the young man traveling in the vehicle coming from the front. In the firing, a young man named Karan Saran was shot in the leg. The young man is a lawyer and son of a former sarpanch. The injured lawyer was taken to the hospital by his friend sitting in the car. A young man present at the spot also made a video of the entire incident which is going viral on social media. After the incident, the accused fled from the spot. Barmer police is making efforts to arrest the accused.
Dispute over side of road
Regarding the entire incident, police say that Karan Saran, a lawyer by profession, was coming from RIICO area to Barmer Sindhari Highway with his Thar car and the accused Karna Ram was going from Barmer towards Sindhari with his Scorpio. During this time, a collision was avoided between the two vehicles and the accused had to apply brakes suddenly, due to which an altercation took place between the two. During this time the lawyer got down from his car and went near the accused’s car. Abuse was going on between the two when the accused suddenly took out a pistol and fired while sitting in the car. Due to which the bullet hit the lawyer’s leg. Due to which he got injured.
The matter of political hatred also came to light
According to experts from both the parties, the injured lawyer Karan Saran is the son of Manaram, former Sarpanch of Rawatsar Gram Panchayat and the accused Karanaram alias Karan Rawatsar is the grandson of Tikuram, the current Sarpanch of Rawatsar Gram Panchayat. Political enmity has been going on between both the families for a long time. As soon as they came face to face on Sunday, the dispute escalated. Abuse started between the two at that very spot. The accused is sitting in the car saying something and the lawyer gets down from the car and is saying something to the accused. Due to this, the accused suddenly took out his pistol and fired. After receiving information about the incident, RIICO police station reached the spot and started investigation after getting information about the entire incident. Barmer circle officer Ramesh Kumar Sharma reached the hospital, recorded the statement of the victim and started investigating the entire matter. To arrest the accused, the police is making efforts to arrest the accused by setting up armed blockades across the district.
