Sikar News Desk: On Sunday night, miscreants opened fire at Shree Shyam Hotel located at the bypass intersection of Kanwat town, demanding a ransom of Rs 50 lakh. At around 8.25 pm, unknown miscreants who came in a jeep asked for snacks at Shyam Hotel. When the hotel owner asked for money after giving the snacks, the miscreants opened fire. The miscreants fired two rounds. The miscreants fired one shot in the air and the second bullet hit the wall of the hotel. According to the information, three miscreants came to the hotel in a jeep at Shyam Hotel located on Night Bypass. One miscreant stopped outside the hotel and two came into the hotel and sat at the counter and asked for snacks from hotel owner Rakesh Samota. Hotel owner Samota gave snacks and the miscreants asked to pay the money on phone. The miscreants started going out of the hotel with the snacks and when they did not pay the money on the phone, the hotel owner Rakesh asked for the money. On demanding money, a miscreant fired in the air and in the second fire the bullet hit the wall of the hotel.
Hotel staff in panic
The firing left the hotel owner and the staff in panic. Later the miscreants fled with the jeep. On receiving the information, a large number of people gathered at the spot. The hotel owner informed the Khandela police about the incident. On information, Khandela Deputy Superintendent of Police Insar Ali and Acting Police Officer Ramesh Meena reached the spot and gathered information about the incident. After the firing incident at the hotel, the owner informed the police. But an hour after the information, police reached the spot.
MG and Azad Group mentioned in the slip
In the ransom slip left by the miscreants on the hotel counter, the ransom demand was made citing MG Group 6565 and Azad Group. The names of three youths were written in the slip, including Sandeep Solet alias Sukha Pritampuri, Amit alias Lucky Behrod, Manoj alias Pandu Pragpura and a ransom of Rs 50 lakh was demanded. The note also contained a threat to burn the house if the ransom was not paid. It was also written in the slip that ransom was demanded from Kotputli jail. People can deal with it. Second incident in two months
About two months ago also, miscreants had thrown a letter at a jewelers shop and demanded a ransom of Rs 10 lakh. However, the police have also arrested an accused in this case. But these days there is a fear of miscreants in the area.
Crime increased as distance from police station increased
After the formation of Neemkathana district, the police station of Kanwat area is now known as Khandela police station instead of Thoi. Earlier Thoi police station was only 8 km away from Kanwat, but now Khandela police station is situated 22 km away from Kanwat. In such a situation, due to the long distance, even after getting information about the incident, the police is not able to reach the spot on time.
