First fog in Jodhpur season, bad air, most polluted day after Diwali

Jodhpur News Desk: Due to increase in relative humidity in the atmosphere, there was fog in the morning in many areas of Northern India including Jodhpur on Sunday. There was the first fog of this season in Jodhpur, but after 10 am the fog turned into mist. The pollutants spread in the air mixed with the moisture of the atmosphere, due to which air pollution increased. The average air quality index (AQI) in Jodhpur in the last 24 hours was 266, but during the day it crossed 300 and reached 319 on Collectorate Road, which is a sign of very bad air. The AQI in Jodhpur was above 300 during Diwali night and day.

Visibility was reduced to one to one and a half kilometers

Sunday morning was foggy in the city. Due to this, visibility reduced from 4 kilometers to one to one and a half kilometers. The effect of fog was more visible in the outer areas. Even at seven in the morning, headlights of vehicles had to be on while driving. Due to fog, the minimum temperature jumped to 20 degrees, which was 5.6 degrees above normal. As the day progressed, the fog started clearing, which later turned into mist. Due to the fog, sunlight was also filtering through, due to which the day temperature did not go above 30.8 degrees.
