Chamoli, 9 December (IANS). The weather patterns have changed once again in the mountains of Chamoli, Uttarakhand. The first snowfall of the season has started in the mountains. It is snowing continuously here. The temperature has once again dropped due to snowfall.
After the snowfall, people are feeling severe cold and have been forced to hide in their homes.
In Auli, Uttarakhand too, about half a feet of snow cover has completely spread. Due to this, the tourists who have reached here are seen enjoying the snowfall. Rural areas are once again seen completely covered in snow.
The predictions of the Meteorological Center have once again proved to be accurate in the mountains. From Badrinath Dham to Sri Hemkund Sahib, all the rural areas in Niti Valley are completely covered in snow at this time.
On the other hand, apart from Uttarakhand, Sunday (December 8) was a special day for Himachal Pradesh too, when Shimla and Kinnaur districts received the first snowfall of the season. The cold has increased due to snowfall. A white blanket of snow has spread on the roads of Shimla.
Himachal Pradesh’s capital Shimla also received the first snowfall of the season in the second week of December. Snow has fallen here so quickly after many decades. Snowfall in Shimla usually occurs in late December or January. This time the premature snowfall surprised even the tourists. Tourists who have come to Shimla are enjoying this snowfall a lot. Tourists are seen having fun and playing in the snow on the snow covered hills and roads.
