Five medicines provided free of cost in Rajasthan are of substandard quality, company seized

Jaipur : Rajasthan Medical Services Corporation (RMSC) has banned various companies from supplying medicines after finding the samples of five medicines substandard and not supplying 33 medicines. These companies will not be able to participate in the tender for these medicines for the next one, two or three years. RMSC’s Managing Director Neha Giri told that the supply of medicines has been banned for a certain period after the samples of Heparin Sodium Injection to Sai Parenterals, Enalapril Meliot Tablet to Medipol Pharmaceutical, Urine Bag to Mekka Industries were found substandard. The supply of Alprazolam Tablet to DD Pharmaceuticals and Cefuroxime Axetil Tablet to Sun Life Sciences were found substandard.

Prohibition on non-continuous supply

Supply of 33 medicines has been banned for a fixed period due to non-supply of medicines by drug firms Unisure Lifecare, Centurion Remedies, Dr. Surgical, Flexicare Medical India, Effi Parenterals, Sunlife Science, Olcare Laboratories, Intas Pharmaceuticals, Theon Pharmaceuticals, Cosmas Research Lab, BDR Pharmaceuticals International, Teleflex Medical, Allergen Healthcare, ADV Chemical, SP Acure Labs, Alves Healthcare, Alliance Biotech, Innova Captab, ANG Life Sciences, Stanex Drugs and Chemicals, J Duncan Healthcare, Medipol Pharmaceuticals. Apart from these, supply of 33 medicines has been banned for a fixed period due to non-submission of contract letter and security amount by 5 companies for 6 medicines.

Ban for three years

Precise Chemipharma Pvt Ltd for Linezolid Tablet IP 600 mg, Olcare Laboratories for Atorvastatin Tablet IP 40 mg, Healthy Life Pharma Pvt Ltd for Iron and Folic Acid Sugar Coated Tablet with Ferrous Iron 45 mg Folic Acid IP 0.4 mg, Estonia Labs Pvt Ltd for Povidone Iodine Solution IP 10% and Morepen Laboratories Ltd for Clarithromycin 250 mg Tab and Clarithromycin 500 mg Tablet have been debarred and banned for a period of three years for not submitting the contract letter and security amount.
