Five members of mobile theft gang arrested in Ajmer Dargah area

Ajmer : Ajmer Dargah police station has arrested five members of a gang that committed theft amidst the crowd and seized 22 multimedia mobile phones from them. Whose value is said to be around Rs 6 lakh. According to District Superintendent of Police Vandita Rana, the arrested accused include Shahrukh Meo, Faizal Abbas alias Bada Ganja, Mahram Ali, Mohammad Faizan and Farhan Alam. On Saturday, based on the information provided by CCTV cameras installed in the area and informers, the police raided New Road, Andarkot and arrested the accused.

According to police station in-charge Narendra Jakhar, during immediate interrogation it was found that the gang of accused had stolen all these mobile phones from the pockets of pilgrims coming to the Dargah area. Apart from these, they also stole other valuables and cash by pickpocketing. Which was divided among themselves.

Have been punished, many cases registered

Of these, Shahrukh, a resident of Mewatipura, Javra Ratlam, currently lives in Longiya locality and two cases are registered against him. In one case, he has been punished with 9 months imprisonment and a fine of Rs 5,000. Moharram Ali lives in Silawat locality and two cases are registered against him. Whereas, apart from Dargah police station, cases are registered against Mohammad Faizan and Farhan in similar cases at Christianganj police station. Both these accused live in Lakhan Kotri. Those who caught them included ASI Banwari Lal, Shyamlal, Diwan Laxman Sharma, constable Mukesh, Nathuram, Dharmendra, Harendra, Tejpal, Dinesh Ramkumar and Ramdutt.
