Rajasthan : Heavy rains occurred in many districts of Rajasthan for the second consecutive day today, due to which three to four feet of water accumulated in the low lying areas. Two to three feet of water has accumulated on the roads of desert areas like Bikaner. Although heavy rain occurred only for one to two hours, most of the districts of the state were submerged. Schools have been closed today due to heavy rainfall in Bikaner and Jaipur. An alert has been issued for heavy rains in Ajmer and surrounding areas of Rajasthan today. More than 100 mm of rain has been recorded in Sawai Madhopur and Churu in the state in the last 24 hours. So far, 221.4 mm of rain has been recorded in this monsoon. However, the highest rainfall of 408.01 mm was recorded in Kota.
Heavy rains are expected in many parts of the state
According to the Jaipur Meteorological Center, the effect of monsoon is going to be effective in the state this week. In such a situation, there are chances of heavy rains in Kota, Jaipur, Udaipur and Ajmer divisions. Monsoon will also be active in Bikaner and Jodhpur divisions this week. This month there will be more rain than in July.
Four people died in Jaipur
Due to rain in Rajasthan, a big accident happened in the capital Jaipur on Thursday. Where three people died when water entered the basement of a two-storey building built about 22 feet below the road. In the same capital Jaipur, a boy was swept away in an open drain.
Administration on alert mode in every district
After the deaths in basements in Delhi and Jaipur, the government and administration are also on alert mode. On one hand, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has already held a meeting on disaster management. At the same time, action is being taken to seal basements in Rajasthan at the district level.
