Jaipur : Rain continues in most districts of Rajasthan including the capital Jaipur. After Udaipur and Jodhpur, flood-like conditions have arisen in Bundi and Bhilwara as well.
Orange alert issued for these districts
The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for heavy rain in Jaipur, Dausa, Alwar, Bharatpur, Karauli, Sawai Madhopur, Tonk, Ajmer, Bhilwara, Jhunjhunu and Sikar districts for the next 24 hours. According to officials, the state has so far recorded 605.7 mm of rain, which is 55 percent more than the normal 391.6 mm.
Four people died in separate accidents
On the other hand, four people died in different incidents during the rains on Thursday. In Jaipur, a labourer died when lightning struck a house under construction. In Sawai Madhopur, a young man died when an old house collapsed and he got buried under the rubble. In Bhilwara, two young men were swept away in a rain drain.
The rain continued for three days
Due to the rains for the last three days, life in the state is in disarray. The big and small dams of the state are also filled with water. Rivers and streams are in spate. According to the Jaipur Meteorological Center, the monsoon season will slow down in the state from September 8.
