Jaisalmer : Jaisalmer After snowfall in the hilly areas of North India, now winter has started showing its effect in western district Jaisalmer including Rajasthan. There was fog in Jaisalmer on Sunday. Cold continued to affect Jaisalmer for the second consecutive day. Due to increasing effect of winter, the faces of farmers are also smiling. The temperature has been falling in the district for the last two-three days. Because of this, farmers were also worried about sowing Rabi crops. Some farmers had sown Rabi crops in October. But due to lack of sufficient moisture and intense heat, the crops got burnt. Because of this the farmers were waiting for winter. The weather has become completely favorable for sowing of Rabi crops. On Sunday, there was a drop of 1 degree each in day and night mercury. The maximum temperature was recorded at 30.5 degrees and the minimum temperature was 16.9 degrees. This year the target is to sow Rabi crops in 4 lakh 84 thousand hectares. So far only 19.57 percent sowing has taken place against the target. Recently, due to intense heat, farmers did not sow Rabi crops. Sowing was done by some farmers in October. Which got burnt due to heat. Meteorologist Galav has advised farmers to sow cumin and isabgol only after the maximum temperature falls below 30 degrees. As soon as the weather becomes favourable, farmers have started sowing Rabi crops. The mood of the weather suddenly changed in the canal area Nachana on Sunday. Fog for the first time this season.
Visibility also reduced significantly due to dense fog. Farmers said that the weather has become beneficial for Rabi crops. Drivers had to face problems due to dense fog in the morning. Meteorologists have predicted clear weather in the district for the next four days. Agricultural meteorologist Atul Galav said that due to the active western disturbance in North India, there has been snowfall in the hilly areas. The effect of western disturbance has ended on Saturday. Because of this, cold winds have started coming from there to the plain states. Due to which the mercury is falling during day and night. He said that now the temperature will drop due to the cold winds coming in the plains. Due to which winter will start shining. The effect of cold will increase in the next two-three days.
