Jaggery making work is going on in many places
CMHO Dr OP Samar said that a complaint was received that people are making jaggery at many places in Dablana area. Here jaggery is made in a different way than the traditional way. These jaggery makers allegedly make jaggery by mixing the reject (waste) material that comes out during the preparation of jaggery in UP. These people bring raw material for making jaggery from UP in large quantities and make jaggery by mixing other materials here. This work is being done on a large scale. There was doubt among the villagers about this for a long time. On the basis of this complaint, the team raided and took samples of jaggery.
Many places were seized
Food and Safety Department Inspector Mauji Ram says that raids have been conducted with the police at different locations regarding the preparation of jaggery and its quality. Sampling has been done for now. Only after investigation will it be known what material these people were using to make jaggery. Prima facie, it has come to light that the raw material was brought from UP. Sampling will be done there too when those who have fled return. Right now the location has been sealed.
