Bundi News Desk: A male cub brought from Abheda Biological Park was released in the enclosure in Ramgarh Vishdhari Tiger Reserve on Wednesday. Two two and a half month old cubs, left helpless after the death of their mother in Ranthambore Tiger Reserve, were reared for one and a half years in the Abheda Biological Park of Kota and a young male cub of about 22 months was brought to the shaft enclosure of Ramgarh. For a long time, there was a demand by wildlife lovers to release both the tiger cubs in the forest. After a long administrative process, orders were issued to release the male cub in Ramgarh and the female cub in Mukundara Tiger Reserve. Under this, the table was left in the enclosure built near the palaces on the banks of the river in Ramgarh on Wednesday.
It is noteworthy that after the death of tigress T-114 from Ranbhaur Tiger Project, Sawai Madhopur in February 2023, her two cubs (one male and one female) were transferred to Abheda Biological Park, Kota. A committee was formed under the chairmanship of Deputy Conservator of Forest (Wildlife), Kota to shift both the cubs to the protected area of Ramgarh Vishdhari Tiger Reserve and Mukundara Hills Tiger Reserve. As per the recommendation of the committee, both the cubs were shifted to Ramgarh Vishdhari for rewilding. It was decided to release them in enclosures located in Tiger Reserve and Mukundara Hills Tiger Reserve. Permission has been received by the Central Government and Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Chief Wildlife Warden to transfer a male cub to Ramgarh Mahal enclosure located in Ramgarh Vishdhari Tiger Reserve, which is under the supervision of Chief Conservator of Forests and Area Director, Mukundara Hills Tiger Reserve. , A male cub was shifted to the enclosure on Wednesday as per the protocol of NTCA by the committee formed under the chairmanship of Kota. Once the rewilding process is completed, the tiger will be released into the open forests of the tiger reserve.
