In this sequence, Uttar Pradesh Fire and Emergency Services Department is also working rapidly in the efforts to make the fair area a fire accident free area. In this series, for the first time in the history of the country and Kumbh, preparations for operating 6 fireboats in Mahakumbh-2025 have been completed.
These fire boats will be kept ready along the ghats of the fair area. These fire fighting boats will not only be helpful in carrying forward the quick response process to prevent fire-related accidents on the ghats along the rivers, but will also act as a shield for the safety of firefighters while carrying out risky fire operations. To make Mahakumbh a fire accident free zone, the department has been allocated a budget of Rs 66.75 crore, whereas the departmental budget is Rs 64.73 crore. Thus, vehicles and equipment at a total cost of Rs 131.48 crore are being deployed for protection from fire-related accidents in the Maha Kumbh Mela.
Chief Fire Officer and Maha Kumbh Nodal Officer Pramod Sharma said that the department is spending Rs 1.38 crore for these six fire fighting boats. In the last week of December, they will be deployed on other banks including Sangam.
He said that fire fighting boats are known for their quick response, ability to navigate fast in rivers and complete fire fighting operations quickly. Fireboats are very effective in quickly completing fire fighting and rescue operations, especially on the ghats along rivers. One of its specialties is that it also deploys fire fighting robots, which are capable of carrying out fire fighting operations by reaching the spot through remote controlled access, away from the water cannon range of the boat.
Especially in areas where there is extreme temperature or where explosive materials are on fire, in such a situation they are not only capable of protecting life and property by carrying out rescue operations, but also act as a shield to protect the lives and safety of firefighters. Are.
Deputy Director Aman Sharma said that as per the vision of CM Yogi, this time more than 351 different types of fire fighting vehicles, more than 2,000 trained manpower, more than 50 fire stations and 20 fire posts are being built in Mahakumbh. The tents of each Akhara are also being equipped with fire fighting equipment.
At the same time, 30 final year students of the National Fire College run by the Home Ministry in Nagpur will also be deployed as fire volunteers in the fair area. Most of them are from Uttar Pradesh and all these students will play a key role in conducting advanced fire fighting skills and awareness drives.
