Jitendra Singh had joined the Army in the Agniveer recruitment of 2022 and was shot in the head during a terrorist search operation in Rajouri area of ​​Jammu and Kashmir in May 2024. He was martyred by. He was part of the Para Special Force. Commanding Officer Colonel Tarun Dev issued a letter in the name of Chief Secretary of the State Government, Sudhanshu Pant, considering Agniveer Jitendra Singh as a martyr. A letter of martyr status was handed over to the family members of Jitendra in Nawalpura Morod village of Raini area of ​​Alwar district on Monday. Now the package given to the martyr by the Rajasthan government will be given to his family.

Martyr memorial will be built in the name of Jitendra

A martyr’s memorial is being built in the name of Jitendra Singh in the village. Soon Jitendra’s family will also get the package given to the martyr. The family has already received Rs 2 crore from the Central Government and Punjab National Bank. When Jitendra’s family met Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, he had assured of giving a package to the Kargil martyr.

Shot during terrorist search operation

According to the information, Agniveer Jitendra Singh, resident of Nawalpura Morod village, had joined the army on 29 December 2022. He was part of 3 Para Special Force. For this, he also took one year’s special training in Bengaluru. Jitendra was posted in Jammu and Kashmir for the first time on 29 February 2024. On 9 May 2024, Jitendra was sent with an army contingent in a terrorist search operation in Poonch Rajouri area of ​​Jammu and Kashmir. During this time, Jitendra was martyred after being shot in the head.
