Foreign report aims to tarnish India’s image: BJP

New Delhi, December 5 (IANS). During the winter session of Parliament, BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi raised an important and serious issue. Referring to the report released by the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP), he said that whenever the Parliament is in session, such reports come out from abroad, whose aim is to tarnish the image of India.

During his address in the Rajya Sabha, Trivedi said that ever since India has emerged as an emerging social, economic and diplomatic power under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, many activities of foreign countries have been detrimental to India’s system, economy, and society. Are becoming a cause of danger. Referring to the OCCRP report, he said that this report is getting funding from foreign governments and George Soros also has a hand in it, who is trying to create negative publicity against India.

Giving an example in the Parliament, Sudhanshu Trivedi said that in the last three years, whenever the Indian Parliament is in session, negative reports about India have been coming out from abroad. He said that developments like ‘Pegasus Report’ in 2021, ‘Hindenburg Report’ in 2023 and ‘BBC Documentary’ had come to light during the Parliament session. He claimed that this could not be a mere coincidence, but was intended to destabilize India’s political and social system.

Sudhanshu Trivedi said that foreign powers are making efforts to bend India, but India is moving forward with its self-respect under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and these efforts are not going to have any effect. He also questioned the opposition whether they were knowingly supporting such reports or unknowingly becoming a part of them.

BJP MP in Lok Sabha Nishikant Dubey also reacted on this issue. Taking aim at the opposition parties, he said that their only aim is to destabilize the government and for this they are taking the help of foreign reports. Taking the names of OCCRP and George Soros’s Foundation, he said that these organizations are trying to destabilize the Parliament of India. He also said that whenever any foreign report comes out, the Congress party and opposition leaders immediately support it.

He said that these people are victims of hatred and are trying to destabilize Prime Minister Modi and his government with foreign support. He alleged that its main objective is to hold the Parliament of India hostage and stop the development of India.

Nishikant Dubey also targeted George Soros, saying that he had put the Bank of England in crisis in 1991 and had made a profit of $ 6 billion from it. Now Soros is trying to destabilize India’s economy. He also said that whenever OCCRP releases a report, the Congress party immediately posts it on social media, like what happened in the Pegasus case.

He said that when Congress party leaders Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Rajiv Ranjan and Sanjay Raut react to such reports, the entire Parliament becomes unstable. Similarly, on Hindenburg Report and Covid vaccination, the opposition continuously tried to corner the government. He raised the question whether Salim Shetty of Open Society Foundation, who had joined the Bharat Jodo movement, has any connection with the Congress?
