Kota : An old woman residing in America died in Kota on Tuesday. The woman had married a young man here seven months ago. Now the police will investigate her foreign citizenship before the post-mortem and take further action. This foreign woman Jacqueline was living in Kota for 8 months. A young man living in Nantha area has claimed her to be his wife. The woman is about 78 years old, while the young man claiming to be her husband is half her age.
A week ago, Jacqueline complained of vomiting and stomach pain. The doctor had advised colonoscopy. When no disease was detected, the doctors operated on the intestines. After this, she was shifted from the ICU to the general ward, but her health deteriorated. Later she was shifted to the ICU and was also given ventilator support. After this, she was being taken to Jaipur for treatment through an ambulance, but she died. After this, her body has been shifted to the mortuary of the new hospital of the medical college.
Nantha police station officer said that legal action will be taken regarding the foreign national before the postmortem. Bharat has a certificate of court marriage with Jacqueline. Bharat, who lives in Nantha area, has claimed that he married Jacqueline, who is of United States of America (USA) origin, on 8 December last year. At the time of marriage, Bharat was 35 years old and Jacqueline was 78 years old. The woman came to Kota only in December last year, while her family lives in Texas, USA. Bharat says that after marriage, Jacqueline was living at his house in Nantha.
