Forest department will now take strict action against the dreadful and deadly panther of Gogunda, orders for ‘shoot at site’ may be issued soon.

Udaipur News Desk: Man-eating panther has killed 7 people so far in Udaipur. Now the Forest Department has issued an alert showing seriousness in this matter. To search for the panther, 11 teams have been formed which are searching in possible areas. The Forest Minister of Rajasthan Government has given a big statement. He said that it has been decided to consider giving shoot and sight orders to the Damakhor Panther.

Panther has taken the lives of seven people

Forest Minister of Rajasthan Government, Sanjay Sharma said that the man-eating panther has taken the lives of 7 people so far. Efforts are being made to catch him. If he is not caught, orders can also be given to suit and site him. Because, human life is priceless, hence protecting them is the first responsibility.

Forest Minister said – decision will be taken soon

If someone turns out to be a man-eating wild animal, he can be sued and sighted. Right now the Forest Department team is engaged and a team of officials from Jaipur has also gone to Udaipur district, so definitely a decision will be taken on this soon.

No footprints of panther found

Now the question is also coming to the fore whether this is a man-eating panther or someone else. Because, despite continuous rains in Udaipur, its footprints have not been seen yet. But, the way the attacks are taking place and the number of panthers, speculations are being made that it is a man-eater panther. The forest department team has also installed cages there. So far 4 panthers have been caught. But, not a single panther among them was a man-eater. After all, who is this man-eating panther? Is there something else behind this? There are speculations about this also. Because, till now no one has seen that man-eating panther.

Panther made them prey

On September 19, minor Kamla was made a victim in Undithal village of Gogunda. Kamla had gone to graze goats in the forest some distance away from home. When she did not return till evening, the villagers started searching for her. The next morning his body was found on the hill which was one to one and a half kilometers from the house.
On September 19 itself, Khumaram Gameti was made a victim in Bhewadiya village of Gogunda. Gameti was on the farm with his son and saw the leopard. Sent my son home without informing him. When the family members arrived in the evening, his dead body was found in the field. This incident also happened about 1 kilometer away from home.
On September 20, old lady Hameri was victimized in Chhali Panchayat of Gogunda tehsil. A goat was grazing on a mountain not far from our house. During this, the leopard attacked and took away the forest 500 meters away. The incident happened at around 6.30 pm, 1 kilometer away from home.
On September 25, 5 year old girl Suraj was made victim in Kundau of Gogunda tehsil. Suraj was bathing with his mother in the river 500 meters away from home. Mother bathed Suraj, dressed him, made him sit beside him and started bathing herself. The leopard sitting in ambush dragged him to the hill. Dead body found 300 meters away from the incident site
On September 28, Gujjars of Gogunda tehsil victimized old woman Gattu Bai in Guda village. Gattu Bai had gone to the farm alone, one and a half kilometers away from home, at 12 noon and got information about the attack at 9 pm. The leopard dragged the leopard to a field 200 meters away.
