Formation of a four-member committee to create new districts, sub-divisions and tehsils, will submit report to the government in 3 months.

Chandigarh, December 6 (IANS). A 4-member committee has been formed to create new districts, sub-divisions, tehsils and sub-tehsils in Haryana. This committee will study and submit its report to the Haryana government in three months.

Cabinet Minister Krishna Lal Panwar has been made the chairman of this four-member committee to create new districts, sub-divisions, tehsils and sub-tehsils in Bharatiya Janata Party ruled Haryana. If needed, the committee can also add some MLAs.

The exercise of creating new districts, sub-divisions, tehsils and sub-tehsils has started again in the state. The committee formed in this regard will submit its report regarding changes in the administrative boundaries of districts, tehsils and towns. The order to form the committee has been issued by the Financial Commissioner, Revenue and Additional Chief Secretary of Revenue and Disaster Department, Anurag Rastogi.

As per the need, consideration can be given to including some MLAs in the committee. Apart from all this, the Financial Commissioner and the Principal Secretary of the Development and Panchayat Department will help the committee in preparing the report.

Let it be known that earlier a committee was formed for this work.

In fact, before the assembly elections, a committee was formed in June under the chairmanship of the then cabinet minister Kanwar Pal Gurjar. Jai Prakash Dalal, Mahipal Dhanda and Subhash Sudha were present in it. But due to the defeat of Kanwar Pal Gurjar, JP Dalal and Subhash Sudha in the elections, the Saini government had to reconstitute this committee.

There has been a demand for making Assandh of Karnal, Dabwali of Sirsa, Manesar of Gurugram and Hansi of Hisar into districts for a long time. However, at present Hansi and Dabwali are police districts and making them general districts will not cause much disruption.
