Sri Ganganagar : Joint Struggle Committee formed a human chain on Sunday to protest against the decision of the government by forming a human chain in protest against the joint venture JV between Rajasthan Electricity Generation Corporation and Central Public Sector Undertakings. Before this, engineers, officers and employees of both the plants gathered along with their families at the Colony Stadium. Here they protested by forming a human chain while raising slogans against the joint venture.
The employees, officers and engineers involved in the protest jointly said that the government’s decision on joint venture will cause losses to the corporation, electricity rates will increase and employment opportunities will be lost. The committee demanded the government to consider the decision and put a stop to it so that the anger of the agitators can be calmed down. Committee convener Vinod Aadha said that the one-hour symbolic demonstration going on at the main gate of Thermal as a protest against the committee will continue as before.
