New Delhi, November 17 (IANS). Delhi BJP leader and two-time MLA Anil Jha, who comes from Purvanchal community, joined the Aam Aadmi Party on Sunday. On Sunday afternoon, he took membership of the party in the presence of former Chief Minister and National Convenor of Aam Aadmi Party Arvind Kejriwal.
After joining Aam Aadmi Party, Anil Jha said that it is my good fortune that I am joining Aam Aadmi Party after being influenced by the guardian of democracy Arvind Kejriwal. Jha said that he has been in another party for 32 years, but today he has come with Kejriwal after being influenced by him. He said that Arvind Kejriwal has provided facilities like roads, sewers, water pipelines, mohalla clinics, health education in the colonies of Delhi.
Jha said that Arvind Kejriwal woven the fabric of social justice inside Delhi for the people of Purvanchal, for the backward people and for the Dalits. He said that Arvind Kejriwal has done a lot for the people of Purvanchal. Whereas Arvind Kejriwal said that if we talk about the leaders of Purvanchal in Delhi, then Anil Jha is one of the biggest leaders among them. Kejriwal said that when our brothers and sisters in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar do not get good education or employment, they turn towards Delhi.
He said that most of the people of Purvanchal community live in raw colonies. Both Congress and BJP parties did not do any work with the people of Purvanchal community except doing politics. There was no sewer system in the raw colonies. There was no drinking water. There were no health facilities. Water used to accumulate up to the knees. We developed here. Built roads, laid sewers, did drainage work, provided street lights, built mohalla clinics, built good schools.
Kejriwal said that we have made arrangements for water in more than 1650 such colonies. Kejriwal says that earlier people could not have relationships in these kutcha colonies due to mud and dirt. He said that we have given a life of dignity to the people of Purvanchal society in Delhi. Kejriwal said that I am happy that today a big leader from the same community has joined our party.
Kejriwal said that last time just before the assembly elections, Union Minister Hardeep Puri and BJP leaders had promised to register the raw colonies in Delhi. But registration has not been done yet, they have only cheated.
