Jaipur : Delhi High Court on Monday deferred the hearing till September 27 on the petition of Lokesh Sharma, OSD to the then Chief Minister, in the alleged phone tapping case that surfaced during the Ashok Gehlot government in Rajasthan. At the same time, the Crime Branch of Delhi Police has again issued a notice to Lokesh Sharma, OSD to Ashok Gehlot, for questioning in the phone tapping case. In fact, the Crime Branch of Delhi Police once again issued a notice after 11 months and called Sharma for questioning on Wednesday, September 25 at 11 am. Regarding the notice, Lokesh Sharma said that I have always cooperated. I have tried to go on every notice. If I could not go sometimes, I have replied to the notice in writing. I will definitely participate in their interrogation.

The noose may tighten on former CM Gehlot

After the change of power in the state, Lokesh Sharma has alleged that Ashok Gehlot had sent audio clips and asked him to make them viral. Lokesh Sharma had accused Ashok Gehlot of phone tapping in a press conference in Jaipur after the Crime Branch interrogation in October last year. If the former OSD repeats these allegations again during the interrogation by the Delhi Crime Branch, then former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot will also come under the purview of interrogation. It is being said that if Lokesh Sharma gives all the evidence to the Delhi Police, then Ashok Gehlot’s troubles may increase.

The ban on punitive action will continue

Let us tell you that on Monday in the Delhi High Court, advocate Sanjay Jain on behalf of Delhi Police requested to hear the case in October, on which Judge Vikas Mahajan ordered to put the case for hearing in the regular bench on September 27. During this time, the stay on punitive action against Sharma will continue. It is noteworthy that in the phone tapping case, Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat lodged an FIR against Lokesh Sharma in the Delhi Crime Branch in March 2021, against which Sharma has filed a petition in the Delhi High Court.
