Jaipur : Former Minister of State Sukhram Bishnoi has been fasting unto death outside the District Collectorate for the last 3 days to save the newly formed Sanchore district of Rajasthan from being cancelled. He is 73 years old and now his health has started deteriorating. The team of doctors went to the protest site and checked him and advised him to be admitted to the hospital immediately. But, the former minister has clearly refused.
The crowd started increasing at the protest site
Bishnoi said that the hunger strike will continue until a clear message comes from the government that Sanchore district will not be cancelled. Not only this, due to his deteriorating health, there is a possibility of forced hospitalization by the administration. That is why he has appealed to more and more people through social media to reach the protest site. So that no one can get him admitted to the hospital without his consent. After this appeal, the crowd of people started increasing there.
Who participated in the fast unto death?
Hundreds of people including Hindu Singh Chauhan, Surjan Ram Sahu (District Head, Bishnoi Samaj), Suresh Kumar Maheshwari (Sanchaur), Bhagirath Ram Bishnoi and Anil Jani Varnava are participating in the fast along with former Minister of State Sukhram Bishnoi. More than two dozen organizations including Bar Association Sanchaur, Samas Vyapar Sangha Sanchaur, Vipra Foundation Sanchaur, Taxi Union Sanchaur, Private School Association Sanchaur, All India Human Rights Monitoring Committee, Sanchaur, Rajasthan Retired Police Welfare Institute, Bharatiya Kisan Union Sanchaur have launched this movement. Rathod’s statement, transfer of IPS
BJP state president Madan Rathod, while talking to the media on September 8, had said that the then government had created one assembly district each. Sanchore-Kekdi are such districts, which have been created only for appeasement. We will remove them. In the IPS transfer list released a few days after this statement, the Superintendent of Police of Sanchaur district was removed and the SP of Jalore district was given additional charge of Sanchaur. The people of the district became angry due to this.
