Former minister sitting on dharna in illegal mining case ended the protest on the advice of police, police struggled to agree

Jaipur : The protest given by senior Congress leader and former minister Bharat Singh Kundanpur along with his supporters outside Simalia police station in Kota late night on Tuesday (3 December) ended. Heeded the assurances of the police officers. The police also demanded immediate action against the other party. Simlia Mandal President of Congress Mahavir Meena was arrested by the police in a two-year old illegal mining case. Accusing the police of taking one-sided action, the former minister along with the villagers had staged a protest outside the police station on a cold night. As soon as information was received about the protest outside the police station, senior police officials also reached the spot. After talking to former minister Bharat Singh for a long time, he convinced him to end the strike.

A case was registered in illegal mining case
Two years ago, a case was filed by the other party against Congress worker Mahavir Meena and others regarding illegal mining. In the same case, Mahavir Meena had also lodged a report in Simlia police station, but at that time the investigation of the case was handed over to CID CB. Now Bharat Singh, expressing his displeasure over the sudden arrest of Mahavir Meena by the Simlia police, reached outside the police station in the night with his supporters and villagers and sat on a dharna.

“Action will be taken soon on the other side also”
Simlia police station incharge Raghuveer Singh said, “The investigation has been done by CID CB in this case. Two persons named Mahavir Meena and Rajkumar have been found guilty. In this case, people from other parties have also been found guilty in the investigation. Police officer Raghuveer Singh says that Mahavir Meena’s associate will also be arrested soon after investigation by CID CB. The investigation has also been done by the Deputy Superintendent of Police and action is now being taken in this matter.

The enmity between the two former ministers continues even in the opposition.
There is an old rivalry between Pramod Jain Bhaya and Bharat Singh Kundanpur, ministers of the previous Congress government. Even during the Congress government, former minister Bharat Singh, while being a Congress MLA, had written letters to the Chief Minister complaining several times about the illegal mining of Cabinet Minister Pramod Jain Bhaya. This is also a matter related to illegal mining. One side is the supporter of senior Congress leader Bharat Singh, while the other side is the supporter of former minister Pramod Jain Bhaya.
